Sunrise and Sunset photographs over the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea
At last a colourful finale to conclude the cruise series. It has taken me two years to cover this adventure due to life and work requiring more of my time. I may not necessarily have more time now, but I am excited to start writing about my local escapades in the Irish countryside for a change. After years of wanting a DSLR, I was finally able to upgrade my camera. Deciding to buy second-hand sped up the process significantly. I have been enjoying the difference in my photos compared to my old, compact Fuji camera. Sometimes I still use it to take macro shots, but the discerning difference in photo quality has me wishing for a macro lens.
In recent months I have been out and about with my camera a lot. I am still getting used to carrying a heavier load (telephoto lenses are hefty!) and learning how to use it. It has lots more buttons and I always end up pressing them and changing settings that I have no idea how to revert.
Before I get sidetracked comparing cameras, I want to share sunset and sunrise captures to wrap up the European trip. I got up at dawn to watch the sun rising during the cruise across the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. It was so enjoyable to witness the changes in the sky surrounded by water in the early hours of the morning. Here are all the colourful skies and captures of the sun shining, setting and reflecting in the water.
